Network Engineer

Network Engineer vacancy for a globally operating Zurich based company in the sports sector.

Your tasks:

• Managing the network infrastructure build and implementation, network planning, delivery, and operations for venues, events and offices, including the commissioning and decommissioning of venues
• Reviewing Network Infrastructure design and ensuring all aspects of the Network deliverables are implemented according to the company’s requirements
• Contributing to the scope definition, procurement liaison, supplier selection and onboarding of Telco and Network suppliers
• Overseeing the effective and efficient provision of Network services, and reporting status, issues and risks related to Network projects and operations
• Performing equipment configuration, tests, handover, monitoring and troubleshooting
• Delivering technical guidance, coaching and mentoring to team members, including preparation of good practice and educational material for personnel

Your experience/knowledge:

• 5+ years of experience in network with proven track record of delivery of wireless networks in complex and high-density areas
• Strong IT skills and relevant knowledge in Telecom Service Providers networks, wired and wireless infrastructure design and implementation, network integration and connectivity
• Strong background in networks, protocols, design, commissioning and operation of following systems like WAN/LAN, MPLS, VPN, Routing, VLAN, VoIP, Multicast, NAC, Wireless
• Expertise in structured cabling, including copper and fibre, in a heterogeneous model
• University degree or similar higher education, in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, along with technology certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent experience
• Language skills: English – fluent in written and spoken, German, French or Spanish would be beneficial
