Senior Java Developer – Distributed Financial Systems vacancy for our Zurich based client in the Banking sector.

Your tasks:

• Design and evolve scalable, resilient distributed systems for mission-critical financial applications.
• Build and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs using Java, Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Optimise latency, asynchronous processing and efficient I/O across the end-to-end service stack.
• Investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks through profiling, benchmarking and load testing.
• Integrate complex financial platforms and third-party services with a strong focus on correctness, data integrity and operational resilience.
• Contribute to backend services that support digital client channels integrated with the e-banking ecosystem.

Your experience/knowledge:

• Strong hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, JDBC and JPA.
• Solid background in distributed systems, microservices, event-driven design and low-latency architectures.
• Experience with relational databases, messaging technologies such as JMS, and Unix/Linux environments.
• Knowledge of API security, OAuth2, IAM concepts, CI/CD practices and containerisation technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience in financial services or mission-critical environments is highly beneficial.
• Language skills: English fluent
