Second Level IT Support – Avaloq – Banking vacancy for our Luxemburg based client in the Banking sector.

Your tasks:

  • Serve as the technical escalation point for 1st line support regarding Avaloq-related incidents and service disruptions
  • Conduct technical investigations into system failures, interface timeouts, queue build-ups, or reconciliation mismatches using logs, database traces, and monitoring tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace
  • Resolve or coordinate fixes for application issues in collaboration with vendors
  • Perform routine health checks on Avaloq components and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and recovery guides
  • Propose and contribute to long-term automation and improvement solutions to reduce ticket volumes and enhance system resilience
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and audit requirements; log activities in ServiceNow and assist in generating operational KPIs and availability reports

Your experience/knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent qualification
  • 3–5 years of proven experience in second line IT support, ideally within private banking or wealth management
  • Technical knowledge of messaging systems such as IBM MQ or Solace is an advantage
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes – Incident, Problem, Change, and Event Management
  • Language skills: English fluent
