Fullstack Java Developer vacancy for our Zurich based client in the Banking sector.

Your tasks:

• Design, develop and maintain scalable Java and Spring Boot applications for a central client data platform.
• Build and support microservices and distributed systems with a focus on resilience, security and high availability.
• Implement event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka and modern cloud-native development practices.
• Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Apply test-driven development, automated testing, CI/CD and DevOps practices to deliver high-quality software.
• Support containerised deployments and monitoring within Kubernetes and observability tooling such as Grafana.

Your experience/knowledge:

• Strong professional experience in Java development, with solid knowledge of Java fundamentals and Spring Boot.
• Practical experience with React and TypeScript, with sufficient confidence to independently develop and maintain frontend functionality.
• Experience working with distributed systems and modern application architectures.
• Practical experience with Apache Kafka or, at minimum, a solid understanding of messaging and event-driven communication.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of an application from a technical perspective.
• Good understanding of software engineering best practices, testing, and maintainable code.
• Experience with database-driven applications; exposure to MS Access applications is an advantage.
• Banking or financial services experience is a plus.
• Language skills: fluent English, German as a plus.
