Java Engineer – Global Products & Solutions vacancy for our Zurich based client in the Banking sector.

Your tasks:

• Design and develop scalable Java and Spring Boot applications for a strategic client data platform.
• Build and maintain microservice-based and distributed system components with a focus on resilience and availability.
• Implement event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka and cloud-native services on Microsoft Azure.
• Apply test-driven development practices and contribute to automated testing using JUnit, Mockito, and related frameworks.
• Work closely with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Support CI/CD, containerised deployments, monitoring, and secure software engineering practices.

Your experience/knowledge:

• Extensive professional experience in Java development, including enterprise application development.
• Strong knowledge of concurrent and multithreaded programming.
• Proven experience delivering highly scalable, mission-critical systems.
• Hands-on experience with microservices, Kafka, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native development.
• Language skills: fluent English; German is an advantage.
