Data Engineer- ETL- Databricks-Pyspark – vacancy for our Switzerland based client in the banking sector.

Your tasks:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and backend services for: Real-time decisioning, reporting and analytics, data collection and transformation

• Define data requirements and contribute to data modelling activities

• Ensure high-quality, secure, and well-tested code

• Develop solutions to enhance data governance, data quality, and security

• Build and maintain infrastructure for data security processes and compliance standards

Your experience/knowledge:

5+ years of hands-on experience in:

• Data engineering (ETL/ELT, warehousing, BI development)

• Building data systems in Python, Scala, or similar

• Working with SQL for data analysis and issue resolution

• Integrating workflow management tools into pipeline design

• Cloud data technologies (preferably Azure)

• Working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data

• Tools like Databricks, PySpark, and Delta (Live) Tables

• Storage systems such as Azure Storage/Data Lakes

• Language skills: Fluent in English and German 

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
