Data Engineer – Data Analytics Platform 80-100% vacancy for our Zurich based client in the Banking sector.

Your tasks:

• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines and backend services for real-time decision-making, reporting and data collection.
• Build and support robust data management, transformation and modelling solutions for analytical use cases.
• Produce high-quality, well-tested and secure code that supports reliable data platform delivery.
• Develop processes that strengthen data governance, data security and data quality.
• Work with modern cloud-based data technologies and contribute within CI/CD environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to improve platform design and implementation.

Your experience/knowledge:

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years’ experience in ETL/ELT, data warehousing, business intelligence and workflow/pipeline integration.
• Strong hands-on experience building end-to-end data systems using Python, Scala or similar languages.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Spark, PySpark, and/or Spark Streaming; this experience must be clearly demonstrated on the CV.
• Proven experience working with Databricks, ideally within a large-scale data engineering environment.
• Strong programming and data manipulation skills using Python and SQL.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and data processing solutions.
• Exposure to structured products, trading, capital markets, or financial markets would be highly advantageous but is not essential..
• Language skills: English fluent
