Research Chemist – Scientist vacancy for our Stein based client in the Agricultural and Manufacturing sector.

Your tasks:

• Carry out practical synthetic chemistry using a range of synthesis, purification and characterisation techniques.
• Characterise target compounds using appropriate standard analytical methods.
• Operate automated synthesis workflows, including liquid and solid dispensing, parallel synthesis, analytical and purification systems.
• Execute high-throughput reaction optimisation screens using laboratory automation equipment.
• Perform, document and review risk assessments in line with site health, safety and environmental processes.
• Document and communicate experimental procedures and data accurately to support reproducibility and effective use of results.

Your experience/knowledge:

• PhD degree holders are not suitable for this type of position and will not be considered!
• MSc in Chemistry or vocational chemistry training with proven applied synthesis and laboratory automation experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in synthetic organic chemistry and reaction optimisation.
• Experience with purification and characterisation techniques, including LC-MS, GC and NMR.
• Practical experience with laboratory automation and high-throughput experimentation.
• Comfortable using analytical and data analysis applications such as MassLynx, TargetLynx, Spectrus and Virscidian.
• Language skills: English
