Data Architect – Datadog, Sentinel, Log Management, SIEM vacancy for our Switzerland based client in the Energy sector.

Your tasks:

• Design a unified log management architecture across Datadog, Microsoft Sentinel and long-term storage.
• Define intelligent log forwarding and routing rules to direct data to the most appropriate destination based on business need and cost.
• Architect a searchable, low-cost log archive in AWS and Azure for troubleshooting, forensics and compliance.
• Model, compare and optimise ingestion, retention and search costs, including filtering and sampling to reduce volume at source.
• Define data models, retention policies, deletion rules and governance standards for log data.
• Build and manage DataOps.live pipelines and collaborate with technical and finance stakeholders to support implementation.

Your experience/knowledge:

• Proven experience as a Data Architect or Platform Architect with a focus on log management, observability or security data architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Datadog and Microsoft Sentinel, including a strong understanding of their pricing and cost drivers.
• Experience designing log routing frameworks and searchable long-term storage solutions for large-scale log data.
• Working knowledge of AWS and Azure services, including storage, identity and cost management.
• Experience with DataOps.live or a comparable DataOps/orchestration tool.
• Language skills: English
