Business Analyst – Financial Messaging, Banking – this is a long term contract opportunity for our Basel based client in the Banking sector.

Your tasks:

• Provide business and technical subject matter expertise in financial messaging and related integration topics.
• Coordinate initiatives supporting the evolution of financial messaging and its integration with trading applications.
• Support the development of business cases for Service Bureau and/or SaaS migration.
• Assist with the preparation of ITT and RFP materials for financial messaging solutions.
• Support vendor selection, system evaluation and service provider assessments.
• Coordinate user testing, manage product changes and help ensure delivery milestones, budgets and targets are met.
• Analyse and design business processes and translate business needs into clear technical and business specifications.
• Contribute to automation test strategy design for financial messaging systems.

Your experience/knowledge:

• Experience as a Business Analyst supporting financial messaging applications in a banking environment.
• Proven experience with Service Bureau migration, outsourcing and/or insourcing.
• Strong track record of contributing to large business-critical projects and producing business cases for major initiatives.
• Good understanding of post-trade lifecycle processes, with a focus on Back Office operations.
• Familiarity with Swift infrastructure and services; knowledge of financial messaging standards is an advantage.
• Language skills: English
