Laboratory Technician – Process Development & Small-Scale Manufacturing vacancy for our Basel based client in the Pharma sector.
Your tasks:
- Execute chemical synthesis experiments safely and efficiently in line with project objectives and timelines.
- Support process development through experimental work, observation, data generation and documentation.
- Collaborate with process chemists to design experiments, evaluate results and define next steps.
- Assist with scale-up activities, process transfers and troubleshooting during pilot-scale and manufacturing campaigns.
- Maintain accurate electronic laboratory records and ensure compliance with Good Documentation Practice.
- Support laboratory safety, equipment upkeep, inventory management and continuous improvement initiatives.
Your experience/knowledge:
- Completed apprenticeship as a Laboratory Technician (Laborant/in) or equivalent scientific technical qualification.
- Practical experience in synthetic chemistry with a passion for laboratory work.
- Strong hands-on experience with chemical synthesis and process development activities.
- Experience supporting or participating in the scale-up of chemical reactions and processes.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety, HSE requirements and compliant working practices.
- Experience with standard synthesis and analytical equipment such as HPLC, GC, NMR, EasyMax and FlexyALR.
- German: Good working proficiency (required)
- English: Strong written and spoken proficiency (required)
