Data Scientist – Oracle SQL – 40% vacancy for our Zürich based client in the Banking sector.

Your tasks:

• Support and provide knowledge in the development and roll-out of a global model on market abuse.
• Develop and operationalise time series outlier detection systems designed for monitoring abnormal market behaviour.
• Engage confidently with stakeholders across functions, translating complex technical findings into actionable insights.
• Full lifecycle ownership of analytical models including gathering business requirements and feature engineering.
• Write optimised SQL queries over large-scale datasets, particularly in Oracle.

Your experience/knowledge:

• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in quantitative roles applying advanced data science and statistical modelling.
• Master’s degree or PhD in Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Master-level command of Python for data science, with deep hands-on experience in libraries like pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
• Advanced theoretical and applied knowledge of time series econometrics and anomaly detection methodologies.
• Language skills: English
