Oracle Database Administrator – Linux vacancy for our Basel based client in the Banking sector.

Your tasks:

• Administer Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL database infrastructures, with a primary focus on Oracle
• Provision and configure standardised templates and deployments for MS SQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL
• Automate routine database tasks such as provisioning, monitoring, and patching using Ansible and OpenShift
• Monitor database performance, handle alert management, and conduct performance analysis and tuning
• Perform backup and restore operations and support adoption of modern database technologies, including containerised solutions

Your experience/knowledge:

• Deep expertise in enterprise database administration with Oracle.
• Knowledge of SQL Server and PostgreSQL highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration, including scripting (Bash, Python) and automation in enterprise environments
• Strong knowledge of database performance tuning, security, and backup/recovery strategies
• Experience with containerised database platforms such as RedHat OpenShift, and automation tools like Ansible and Terraform
• Language skills: English
