Linux Engineer – Red Hat, Ansible, Automation – this is a long term contract for our Basel based client in the Financial Services sector.
Your tasks:
- Primary responsibility is to ensure best practice implementation of core server and infrastructure application technologies
- Manage and evolve the existing technologies within sphere of responsibility to ensure a secure, supportable and highly available environment
- Support and maintain business-critical infrastructure applications and their dependencies as assigned
- Leads (tests, coordinates and implements) changes related to new releases or design changes to the environment, in cooperation with other internal teams and external service providers.
- Provides On Call support on a weekly basis.
Your experience/knowledge:
- Strong experience as a systems engineer with Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems administration experience
- Strong knowledge in automation using Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform
- Systems management & provisioning using Red Hat Satellite and Capsules
- Good to have is knowledge in backup solutions, scripting, ideally Python and Bash
- Language skills: English
